Copy Trading Addendum
This Copy Trading Addendum ("Addendum") governs your use of the copy trading service and forms part of, and is incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service. By allocating funds to a Manager, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Addendum. If you do not agree, do not allocate funds to a Manager.
Editorial note
We may update this Addendum from time to time as our copy-trading product evolves. The current version is always available at /legal/copy-trading-addendum.
1.The Copy Trading Service
1.1 When you allocate funds to a Manager ("Allocation"), you authorise us to deploy those funds into the Manager's trading strategy. You do not place individual trades; the Manager directs the strategy and your Allocation participates in its performance. You are not a client of the Manager, and the Manager does not act as your personal adviser.
2.Performance Fees
2.1 Each Manager sets a performance fee, expressed as a percentage and displayed to you before you allocate. The performance fee is charged only on profits — if your Allocation does not produce a profit, no performance fee is charged. The fee is deducted before your payout is credited, so the payout shown to you is net of all fees. The fee rate that applies to an Allocation is the rate recorded at the time you allocate, and it does not change for that Allocation even if the Manager later changes their fee.
3.Funding, Deployment and Timing
3.1 Your wallet is debited for the full Allocation amount when you submit your request. Allocations are deployed into the relevant strategy within approximately 24 hours. When you request a redemption, it is settled within approximately 24 hours of the request. These timeframes are targets and may vary with market conditions and operational factors.
4.Risk of Loss
4.1 Copy trading carries a substantial risk of loss. You may lose some or all of the funds you allocate. Past performance and historical results shown for any Manager are not indicative of, and do not guarantee, future results. A Manager's strategy may underperform, and market conditions can change rapidly and adversely.
5.Redemptions
5.1 You may request to redeem an Allocation once it is active in the strategy. The amount returned to you reflects the performance of the strategy as at settlement, net of any applicable performance fee, and may be more or less than the amount you originally allocated.
6.No Advice; Your Decision
6.1 The copy trading service is execution-only. We do not provide investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing in the service or in any Manager's profile, statistics, or strategy description constitutes a personal recommendation. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to allocate, which Manager to select, and how much to allocate.
7.Managers and Changes
7.1 Managers may change their strategy, adjust their performance fee on a forward-looking basis, pause or close their strategy to new Allocations, or cease acting as a Manager. A change to a Manager's fee does not affect Allocations already made, which keep the fee rate recorded at the time of allocation.
8.Our Role
8.1 We administer the copy trading service, including processing Allocations, redemptions, and settlements, and displaying Manager information. We do not guarantee the performance of any Manager or strategy. We may suspend or modify the service, or decline or reverse an Allocation or redemption, where reasonably necessary to protect the integrity of the service or to comply with applicable law.
9.Relationship to the Terms of Service
9.1 This Addendum is incorporated into Section 16 of the Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict between this Addendum and the Terms of Service in relation to copy trading, this Addendum prevails. All other provisions of the Terms of Service continue to apply.
